Irinash, Joyce and I met for Falcon Watch earlier this evening - both adults and all four juvenile falcons were seen. Details are on our forum and I’m including this brief vid clip of two of the female juvenile falcons flying overhead (I really don’t like YouTube’s poor quality, but the original files are HUGE).
Videos and Images are provided courtesy of “glenham”. Please contact our web administrator falconsandfriends@gmail.com if you are sharing these links on other forums or discussion groups. This webcam is hosted by FalconsAndFriends and Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.
Thanks to glenham for sharing this wonderful feeding video - this brood is growing rapidly!
The fourth egg arrived in the Glenham, NY Chimney Swift nest this morning (Thursday, 06/19/08)!
Looking at “glenham’s” camera, it does appear that active incubation by the pair has started.
Will there be a fifth egg? We’ll have to wait and see! Chimney Swifts lay their eggs EVERY OTHER day so if there is a number five it should arrive on Saturday, June 21st.
News Regarding The Buffalo Falcons from forum member irinash! “We have 1 fledgling at Statler (white band). I saw her flying strong this morning, but landing was poor. Couldn’t make it to the nest just slide of the wall of the building and flew back across Franklin street. Later in afternoon saw still 3 at the nest. After adult dropped food at tne nest box I found a fledgling on the roof of Statler. She sat on fledgecam for a while than walked right above the nest.” Photo courtesy irinash.
Currently looking at the cam (8:15pm) it appears a second fledge has left the nest!
