West Nile Virus Shows Up on Long Island
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — More West Nile Virus seems to have shown up in Nassau County.
The New York State Department of Health has announced the discovery of four new mosquito pools in Nassau County that are infected with the West Nile Virus. This brings the total for Nassau County to 20 infected pools. In addition to the mosquito’s, Health officials also found a bird infected with West Nile Virus, bringing the counties total to three.
