Congrats to our friends in Brisbane, Australia! All three eggs have hatched and now the real fun begins! Next on board will be hatching at the Alcoa nest!
Young falcons are pink and wet when they first hatch, but oh what a sight! In the coming days they will double their weight, in the coming weeks they will depend on their parents for food, and before we know it they will be exercising and flapping their wings in preparation for first flight!
Enjoy watching these little “white fuzz balls” while you can! They will grow up faster than you think!

Many of us here at “Falcons and Friends” have been following, watching and waiting for the Brisbane, Australia Peregrines to hatch their brood of three. Right on schedule the second chick arrived in the early morning hours of Sept. 26, 2007 – Australia time

It’s always a wonderous and special time when new life comes into the world. How lucky we are to be able to watch these events across the miles and continents!
Now to wait for Number Three’s arrival (I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened VERY soon – I think I’ve seen a small pip in that final egg)!
